Frequently asked questions

A: Pick ups and drop offs on arrival and departure days are the responsibility of the Host Families. Please pay the taxi driver on arrival. Please note that for Long Stay arrivals there can be more than one pick up time.

A: We run a arrival info page on our website ("ARRIVAL INFO"). Please note that we are not able to ring host families in case of any delays.

A: If you cannot drop off your students by yourself, feel free to organise a taxi yourself. Please leave the students money for the departure (we recommend using Sussex Cars (EB 726 726)). If you're not sure how much that would be, please call the taxi company of your choice.

Long Stays:
11-12 yrs: (10pm if evening activity on J.M. programme)
13-14 yrs: 10pm
15-19 yrs: 11pm (11:45pm after pub quiz night, 18+ only)
If your students are not home by then, please call the JM emergency number.

School Trips:
You can find the curfew times of your group on the first page of the programme (grey box at the bottom), in the Arrival and Departure Details ("Arrival section") and in the reminder text message, which you receive a few days before arrival. If your students are not home by then, please call the teachers (number on the programme). The JM emergency number won't be able to help you with any school trip related problems.

We will take your longstay student(s) to the doctor if they become ill. Just ring the J.M. office.

School Trips:
Please contact their teacher (see number on the programme).

As students have to limit their luggage they cannot bring enough clothes for the entire stay. Please ask the students on arrival and provide fresh towels if necessary.

Payments normally take 3-5 working days before visible on your account due to bank limitations. Please wait at least a week before inquering about payments.

Banks are only working Mon-Fri, except bank holidays. Especially at Easter time or other public bank holidays, payments can take a bit longer. Please wait at least a week before inquering about payments.

We are using our own buildings and some of the local colleges for class. Please checkh the programme for the correct teaching location.

A: Please check the programme for the correct times. On long stays, our students do not always have school at all three teaching times. Please ask your students for the correct times.
